To understand the ranking system you have to understand these factors that i'm about to explain.

The ranks in Apex Legends Mobile are divided into seven different tiers, (including Master and Apex Predator) each tier has four divisions contained within them: Ranging from IV (4) to I (1) which is the highest for each tier before breaking into the next.

Each tier has a RP threshold which is required in order to rank up. Beyond the Bronze first tier, players must basically pay to enter a ranked game using RP as currency.

Players are generally matched with opponents of the same rank. "For parties, the highest tier achieved is considered for placing the party. When queuing together, players above Platinum can’t queue with players two tiers below them. That means that Platinum players can only play with Diamond and Gold players in the ranked queue."

The maximum RP a player can earn in a single match is 250 - if they finish first with high amounts of kills and assists.

You may lose some RP whenever you start a match, based on your current tier. "Players in Bronze don’t lose any RP for playing the game, allowing them to rank up with enough games. For all other tiers though, this isn't the case as the amount of RP lost at the beginning of the match is as follows:
1. Bronze - 0 RP
2. Silver - 12 RP
3. Gold - 24 RP
4. Platinum - 36 RP
5. Diamond - 48 RP
6. Master - 60 RP
7. Apex Predator - 60 RP

Players incur penalties that reduces RP once they've hit the loss prevention max - meaning they will no longer be protected under certain basis such as:
1. Whenever experiencing connection issues.
2. A teammated abandons the match (this doesn't apply to pre arranged squads).
The ways how players will expect to lose points through penalties are:

1. Forfeiting a match - losing a minimum of 24RP depending on your rank

2. Abandonment while your teammates still have a chance to revive you will lock you out of playing any game queue. The penalty starts at 10 minutes for the first infraction and increases for subsequent abandons in a short span.

3. Abusive behaviour reports etc.

The rewards each player receives are based on their highest rank on rank tier split. Even though this Rank is beginner level - it does have some benefits as it doesn't deduct rank points whenever you cannot place high enough, get lots of assists or kills in match. In simple terms you cannot de rank from this level.
